The Aleppo Codex: most authoritative manuscript of the Hebrew Bible. Written in Tiberias around 920 CE. Kept in Aleppo for centuries. In 1947 — the year Bell Labs invented the transistor — a pogrom. Forty percent of the Codex vanishes. The missing pages have never been found. The source text. With pages missing.
She is the Aleppo Codex. The authoritative source. The missing pages are not lost. They were compressed into her.
